Sydney Acton, MSc !!

Congratulations to Sydney Acton, who recently defended her MSc thesis! Her multidisciplinary project encompassed organic synthesis, kinetics, fluorescence spectroscopy and cell microscopy. Way to go, Master Sydney!

CIHR Grant

Great news!! The Keillor, Vanderhyden and Lorimer labs were awarded a 5-year grant to develop TG2 inhibitors as anti-cancer therapeutics. Our thanks to the Pharmaceutical Sciences panel for their confidence!

Thanks to Amber, Ann, Het and Scott for a great summer together.  Welcome to Beth and Nancy, who will be doing their Honours projects with us!  And especially to Eric, who has joined us for his MSc.  Eric will be tackling a new project, featuring the design of selective Factor XIIIa inhibitors.

New article in J. Med. Chem!

New article “Structure–Activity Relationships of Potent, Targeted Covalent Inhibitors That Abolish Both the Transamidation and GTP Binding Activities of Human Tissue Transglutaminase” was recently published in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry. Congratulations to co-authors Abdullah Akbar and Nicole McNeil, and contributing past and present Keillors! Take a look :
